Notes on a Project #1
Stay organized. Stay focused.
When leading projects, I often have several realizations that help me navigate obstacles, delays, and difficulties. Here are a few that I had this week:
Uncertainty
As the level of uncertainty in a project increases, so does the risk of redoing work and the need to try a different approach. To reduce the impact of these risks, teams choose project life cycles that allow them to tackle uncertain projects through small increments of work.
Assumptions
It's always important to assume that there is more to learn. It's crucial to question everything with an open mind, starting with the most fundamental question of all - why?
Failure
Mistakes can be corrected.
Most projects fall between failure and success.
Hope this helps.
