There are a few gems from reading Bent Fyvbjerg’s book, How Big Things Get Done, and one is virtual project modeling. Like virtual reality (VR) and Building Information Modeling (BIM), virtual project modeling creates a digital representation or simulation of a project. It involves using computer software and technologies to visualize and simulate various aspects of the project, such as design, construction, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Virtual project modeling is a powerful tool that helps teams simulate different scenarios, evaluate their potential impact, and identify possible issues before implementing them in the project. This approach allows project stakeholders to optimize resource utilization, mitigate risks, and improve overall project efficiency.

By using virtual project modeling, team members can collaborate more effectively, as they can visually track the project's progress, identify potential clashes or conflicts, and make informed decisions based on simulated outco…
